Job summary

Pierce Manufacturing, an Oshkosh company in Wisconsin, offers a summer Human Resources internship to support the HR team on a variety of projects to gain knowledge and experience in different HR areas.

You will assist with recruiting for manufacturing and office roles, participate in interviews and pre-employment steps, help coordinate HR trainings, and work with HRIS data and employee events. This internship emphasizes teamwork, learning, and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Student working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or related field for entire duration of internship.
• Ability to work full time (40 hours per week) throughout the summer.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Ability to demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recruiting activities for manufacturing and office positions including pre-screening candidates, scheduling, and conducting interviews.
• Assist with recruiting events including job fairs and campus recruiting.
• Assist in company training such as New Employee Orientation, Harassment Prevention, Ethics, and other HR training.
• Assist with maintenance of confidential employee and applicant information in HRIS systems.
• Assist with various employee events such as Employee Roundtables and Service Award Luncheons.
• Perform research and assistance for HR and Benefits related projects.
• Other duties or projects as assigned.
