Job summary

Ventek Solutions is seeking an HR Generalist to join the Shelbyville, KY manufacturing plant. The role is onsite five days a week and will provide comprehensive HR and safety program support to plant management, while also leading HR-related projects across Ventek.

You will manage staffing, onboarding, benefits, leave requests, and policy administration, collaborating with operations and corporate HR. A manufacturing background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Three+ years in HR or a related function, with emphasis on employee relations and policy administration.
• Experience with payroll, benefits, and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing setting preferred.
• Strong communication and cross-functional relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides HR support to the operations teams, including administering company policies, procedures and programs.
• Leads and supports employee engagement and culture activities.
• Responsible for leading plant safety initiatives and processes to include lock out/tag out, MHE, safe work practices, safety incident reporting and investigation.
• Responsible for ensuring accurate timekeeping and payroll details for timely payroll processing.
• Acts as liaison with Managers and corporate Talent Acquisition to determine staffing needs and develop job descriptions; facilitates hiring process for the plant.
• Conducts employee onboarding, training and assists management with monitoring performance according to Ventek standards.
• Manages leave of absence requests including FMLA, ADA and Worker’s Compensation matters.
• Maintains working knowledge of laws and regulations; recommends policy updates as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a HR Generalist to join our team in our Shelbyville, KY manufacturing plant.

Summary:

The HR Generalist is an essential partner to our Shelbyville, KY Operations team and will provide comprehensive HR and Safety program support to plant management. The role is onsite five days a week. The role will primarily support the Shelbyville plant, but will also lead and provide support with Ventek HR-related projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides HR support to the operations teams, including administering company policies, procedures and programs.
• Leads and supports employee engagement and culture activities
• Responsible for leading plant safety initiatives and processes to include lock out/tag out, MHE, safe work practices, safety incident reporting and investigation.
• Responsible for ensuring accurate timekeeping and payroll details for timely payroll processing.
• Actively monitors the local market to understand wage practices and employment trends.
• Works with Managers and corporate Talent Acquisition to determine staffing needs and develop job descriptions. Facilitates hiring process for the plant, including manage job postings, recruiting, interviewing and selecting talent.
• Conducts employee onboarding, training and assists management with monitoring performance according to Ventek standards.
• Act as point of contact for benefit programs, including open enrollment communication, benefits enrollment, general plan questions and resolving benefit issues.
• Partners with leadership on coaching, development, employee relations matters and investigations as needed.
• Manages leave of absence requests including FMLA, ADA and Worker’s Compensation matters.
• Maintains working knowledge of existing and new Federal, State and Local laws and regulations affecting the workforce. Makes recommendations as needed to update policies and procedures.
• Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A minimum of three years’ experience working in one or more functional areas of Human Resources or a related area, with at least two years’ experience with Employee Relations, Policy and Procedure administration, safety, compliance, and/or related HR Generalist experience is preferred. Experience working in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
• Operationally proficient with Microsoft office suite and applicant tracking systems.
• Must be an effective communicator and builds relationships across functions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred. A combination of education and experience may be substituted for the education requirement.
