You will manage the full employee lifecycle, focusing on operations, compliance, employee relations, and performance management. The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of HR experience, a bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field, and SHRM-CP or PHR

Overview

As Structural Integrity Associates, Inc, an SI Solutions company, continues to grow, we are expanding our HR team with an HR Generalist to provide hands-on HR support across the organization. This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who can operate independently, build strong relationships with employees and leaders, and take ownership of a broad range of activities.

Description

The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting the full employee lifecycle, with a strong emphasis on operations, compliance, employee relations, and performance management. This role will work directly with employees and managers of all levels to deliver effective HR support that enable growth, scalability, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently and collaboratively to foster a positive working environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated knowledge of HR operations and fundamentals and sound judgement are a must. This role is for someone who is agile, resourceful, and looking to grow into the next step of their career.

This position is a full-time position based out of our San Jose, CA office with a hybrid option.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Monitor the HR and Benefits inboxes, respond to employee questions, and triage other inquiries to the appropriate person/department.
  
  
  • Collaborate with management and functional experts (Talent Acquisition, Payroll & Benefits, Learning & Development) to administer programs across the organization.
  
  
  • Leverage tools and technology to streamline and improve processes and workflows.
  
  
  • Leverage HR analytics to support data-driven decision making.
  
  
  
  


• Legal & Regulatory Compliance
  
  
  
  • Support Benefits with ACA compliance reporting, including federal and state-level requirements.
  
  
  • Execute other compliance activities, including AAP, EEO, and VETS reporting.
  
  
  • Ensure consistent compliance with local and federal laws through policy administration and training.
  
  
  
  


• Employee Relations & Engagement
  
  
  
  • Serve as a trusted HR resource and advocate for all employees.
  
  
  • Provide guidance on employee relations matters, policy interpretation, and workplace concerns, escalating to management where appropriate.

  • Administer and facilitate company-wide year-end performance reviews, employee self-assessments, and goals setting.

Skills/Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.


• 5-7 years of progressive HR experience.


• SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar HR certification preferred.


• Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices.


• Experience managing HR policies, compliance programs, and employee documentation.


• Experience with managing programs and processes in ADP Workforce Now, including onboarding, talent management, and benefits/ACA compliance.


• Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.


• Ability to exercise sound judgement, maintain confidentiality, and effectively resolve issues.


• Excellent organizational skills with ability to adapt and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Range

The expected salary range for this role in San Jose, CA is $81,040 to $101,300 annually. Exact pay will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
