The HR Generalist plays a key role in supporting the organization’s human resources operations by managing full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, HR Administrative tasks, and employee leave programs. This role serves as a key partner to hiring managers to attract top talent, ensure a smooth onboarding experience, maintain accurate HR records, and provide general HR administrative support.


The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and knowledgeable about HR policies, employment laws, and best practices. They play a vital role in creating a positive employee experience and supporting the overall success of our clinical and healthcare practice.


Essential Job Functions

  • Administer all federal and state protected leaves (e.g., FMLA, state family/medical leave, military leave), and workers’ compensation claims, ensuring timely notices, documentation, and compliance with applicable laws and company policy.
  • Maintain organized, secure, and compliant employee files, ensuring accurate documentation, proper retention, and controlled access.
  • Organize and set up new employee orientation sessions, ensuring all materials, schedules, and logistics are prepared and coordinated.
  • Prepare and send 401(k) enrollment and informational emails to employees in alignment with benefits communication timelines.
  • Develops and facilitates training sessions for leadership on effective hiring practices, interviewing techniques, and HR best practices to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to determine job requisitions, required skills, and team objectives.
  • Create and place job postings in ATS and other job boards, including healthcare-specific job boards and partner with external recruiting agencies when necessary.
  • Review resumes, conduct phone screenings, and coordinate candidate interviews to ensure recruitment efforts align with business needs.
  • Consult and advise hiring managers on best interview practices and selection processes.
  • Manage full employee lifecycle processes, including candidate onboarding (offers, compensation setup, HR documentation, I-9 filing, and access requests) and offboarding (documenting terminations, processing benefits letters, deactivating access, and maintaining I-9 records).
  • Demonstrate flexibility in a fast-paced environment, maintaining effectiveness and professionalism while supporting evolving business needs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management, for which appropriate training will be provided, to support departmental objectives and organizational success.
  • Regular, predictable, and reliable attendance is required to perform the essential duties of this position and to meet operational deadlines, maintain team coverage, and complete time-sensitive work that depends on in-person coordination and access to on-site systems/resources. Employees must report to work as scheduled, be punctual, and remain at work for assigned hours. For roles requiring coordination with patients, providers, and/or teams, consistent availability during scheduled hours is necessary to maintain safe and effective operations, continuity of work, and timely completion of job responsibilities. Employees must follow established call-out and scheduling procedures and provide timely notice of unscheduled absences when feasible. OSG will comply with applicable federal and Oregon laws regarding protected leave and reasonable accommodations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, with preference in healthcare, human resources, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of human resources experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of recruitment best practices, processes, and applicable employment laws preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state leave of absence management
  • Ability to develop successful relationships with hiring managers and provide consultative expertise in hiring decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and sound independent judgment in resolving issues.
  • Familiarity with ATS and HRIS.
  • Advanced Excel skills including ability to develop complex formulas, v-look ups etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of ADA and workers comp.
  • Experience recruiting for clinical, medical, and healthcare roles, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
