Job summary

Chickasaw Nation Industries, Inc. is seeking an HR Generalist to support the HRBP team and handle routine inquiries. You will assist with Workday transactions, onboarding, offboarding, leave administration, and employee records while upholding confidentiality and compliance.

In this role you’ll collaborate with HRBPs and stakeholders to ensure accurate data, timely responses, and a positive employee experience across the organization.

NEW Full Time SUMMARY

The HR Generalist provides administrative and operational support to the HR Business Partner (HRBP) team while helping deliver a positive and consistent employee experience. Serves as a key point of contact for routine employee and manager inquiries and supports HR processes including Workday transactions, leave administration, onboarding and offboarding, unemployment claims, performance management, and employee records. Partners with HRBPs and other stakeholders to provide timely, accurate, and employee-focused support, maintain confidentiality, promotes compliance, and foster CNI Core Competencies and values.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

HR Help Desk and Employee Support

Partners with Key Stakeholders (Transformation Manager, Director, Manager), to establish and launch a HR Care Center Model.

Responds to routine employee and manager inquiries, providing timely and accurate information and escalating complex or sensitive matters to the appropriate HR Business Partner or team member.

Monitors and manages the HRBP shared email inbox, ensuring inquiries are addressed, assigned, and followed up on appropriately.

New Hire Onboarding

Facilitates and coordinates the onboarding process, ensuring required documentation is completed and system updates are processed accurately and timely.

Monitors and follows up to ensure new hires complete required onboarding requirements.

Processes Form I-9 documentation and administers E-Verify requirements in accordance with applicable laws and company procedures.

Administers new hire surveys, analyzes results, identifies trends, and prepares reports or summaries for HR leadership.

Data Integrity

Supports routine employee data changes and updates in Workday.

Assists with HR-related Workday processes and ensures required actions and tasks are completed accurately and timely.

Maintains and updates various HR trackers to ensure accurate and timely information, including leave of absence, performance management, disciplinary action, onboarding, offboarding, and other HR-related activities.

Prepares routine reports to support HR processes, workforce insights, and HRBP decision making.

Performance Management

Maintains and monitors performance review schedules and timelines.

Supports the launch and administration of performance review processes and tracks progress and completion.

Workforce Development

Researches and curates content for HR trainings.

Assists the Training Manager in logistics and facilitation of enterprise level trainings, as needed.

Employee Exit and Transition

Supports employees and managers with the termination and offboarding process, including required documentation and system actions.

Conducts exit interviews, maintains exit data, identifies trends, and prepares reports or summaries to support organizational insights and process improvements.

Employment Verifications

Facilitates employment and income verification requests, ensuring accurate, timely, and confidential responses in accordance with company policies and applicable requirements.

Supports the implementation and ongoing administration of outsourced employment verification services, partnering with third-party vendors to ensure a seamless experience for employees and external requestors.

Supports the day-to-day vendor relationship, including responding to inquiries, resolving issues, monitoring service delivery, and ensuring verification requests are processed accurately and timely.

Maintains appropriate documentation and records related to employment verification activities.

Unemployment Administration

Coordinates unemployment claims and inquiries with thirds party vendors, managers, and internal stakeholders.

Provides timely responses and supporting documentation for routine unemployment matters.

Escalates complex or sensitive unemployment issues as appropriate.

Audit/Legal Inquiries

Partners with the Legal department to research and provide requested employment records and documentation in response to subpoenas, audits, investigations, and other inquiries, as appropriate.

General Responsibilities

Provides administrative and operational support for daily HR activities and processes.

Promotes compliance with applicable laws, regulations, contract requirements, and company policies.

Works collaboratively with HR team members and other departments to provide timely, accurate service.

Maintains confidentiality and protects sensitive employee and company information.

Identifies routine process issues and supports process improvements.

Fosters and promotes CNI Core Competencies and values in daily work activities and interactions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field and a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.

Experience providing HR support to employees and managers and responding to routine HR inquiries.

Experience supporting leave administration, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, STD/LTD, and return-to-work processes.

Experience with employee onboarding and offboarding, including Form I-9 and E-Verify administration.

Experience supporting performance management processes, including tracking review cycles, maintaining records, and monitoring completion.

Experience coordinating unemployment claims.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Experience supporting HR functions such as employee records, onboarding, HRIS data entry, benefits administration, recruiting coordination, employee communications, and general HR administrative

Experience with Workday or similar HRIS platforms.

Experience working in a government contracting.

Experience supporting multi-site workforces.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Regularly required use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms to handle objects and operate tools, computer, and/or controls. Required to speak and hear. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.

The estimated pay range for this role is $54k to $70k, with the final offer contingent on location, skillset, and experience.
