Job summary

Ford of Morgantown is seeking a motivated HR Generalist to support a multi-site automotive workforce. This onsite role will base at Morgantown, WV with 10–20% travel to John Sisson dealerships in Washington, PA. You will handle employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, compliance, benefits, payroll support, and engagement.

The ideal candidate collaborates with managers and staff to foster a positive workplace culture while ensuring employment laws and company policies are followed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of HR Generalist experience.
• Experience with HRIS platforms (ADP, Workday, UKG).
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Willingness to travel regionally.

Responsibilities

• Support employee relations, investigations, performance management, and conflict resolution.
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and workforce planning.
• Administer benefits, leave programs, and employee accommodations.
• Maintain HRIS records and support reporting, audits, and compliance.
• Serve as backup payroll administrator using ADP Workforce Now.
• Ensure employment law compliance across WV and PA.
• Lead employee engagement and culture initiatives.

Travel: 10% to 20%

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on HR Generalist to support a multi-site automotive workforce. This position will be located at our Ford Lincoln of Morgantown dealership with 10-20% travel to our John Sisson dealerships in Washington, PA. This position plays a key role in all aspects of Human Resources, including employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, compliance, benefits administration, payroll support, and employee engagement.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative HR professional who enjoys working directly with managers and employees to create a positive workplace culture while ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Support employee relations, investigations, performance management, and conflict resolution.
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and workforce planning.
• Administer benefits, leave programs, and employee accommodations.
• Maintain HRIS records and support reporting, audits, and compliance activities.
• Serve as a backup payroll administrator, including processing payroll and maintaining employee data in ADP Workforce Now.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations across West Virginia and Pennsylvania.
• Lead and support employee engagement, recognition, and culture initiatives.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience. Equivalent years of experience may be considered.
• 2-4 years of HR Generalist experience.
• Experience with HRIS platforms such as ADP, Workday, UKG, or similar systems.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the region.

Preferred

• PHR or SHRM-CP certification.
• Automotive, retail, or multi-site HR experience.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now (WFN).
