Job summary

Power Home Remodeling seeks an HR Generalist to serve as a trusted advisor, fostering a positive culture and ensuring compliance with laws and company policies. The role leads People functions at the territory level, including onboarding, policy maintenance, and administrative duties while acting as a culture ambassador.

The position interfaces with Territory Leadership to execute talent strategy, manage records, respond to inquiries, and support organizational effectiveness initiatives.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3–5 years HR experience preferred.
  • Prior HR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of HR files and records.
  • Collaborate with Territory Leadership on talent strategy, recruiting and succession planning.
  • Ensure up-to-date, compliant employee documentation across records.
  • Oversee onboarding, pre-onboarding and new hire MVR processing.
  • Address employee inquiries and route complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Plan and facilitate new hire orientation.
  • Maintain knowledge of employment laws and best practices.

Position Summary

This role serves as a trusted advisor to employees, fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring alignment with best practices and legal requirements.

The HR Generalist will lead the People functions at the territory level including onboarding, compliance, policy and procedures, administrative duties, and culture ambassador.

Job Responsibilities/Essential Duties
  • Manage the integrity and confidentiality of human resources files and records.
  • Partners with Territory Leadership to understand and execute Power’s People Division and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Manages processes that result in accurate and up-to-date people files, records, and documentation.
  • Daily reviewing people files and records to ensure that documents are accurately completed, filed appropriately, and meet compliance standards.
  • Facilitating pre-onboarding and onboarding system entries and new hire MVRs when applicable.
  • Manages processes that result in accurate and up-to-date people files, records, and documentation.
  • HRIS (Nitro) processing errors: Hire, Change Job, Term.
  • Ensure adherence to labor laws and regulations, keeping up-to-date with changes in employment legislation.
  • Handles employment related inquires for applicants, employees, and managers; referring complex and/or sensitive matters to appropriate staff.
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Plans, communicates, and facilitates new hire orientation.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in People Resources, Talent Management, and employment law.
  • Support initiatives aimed at enhancing organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to organizational projects and initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Proficient with the ability to quickly learn human resource information system (HRIS) and similar computer applications
Education And Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate or Bachelor Degree preferred
  • 3 – 5 Year experience preferred
  • Prior related HR experience preferred
Required Licenses And Certifications
  • SHRM CP/SCP Preferred
