Job description

Build Great Teams. Create Exceptional Employee Experiences.

Behind every exceptional guest experience is an exceptional team. As the HR Generalist, you’ll help build that team by recruiting outstanding people, creating meaningful first impressions, and supporting employees throughout their journey at Lone Mountain Ranch.

This is a hands‑on role that combines recruiting, onboarding, employee support, and HR operations in a fast‑paced, highly seasonal environment where no two days look quite the same. You’ll partner closely with hiring managers across every department to recruit and onboard our seasonal workforce while helping keep our HR systems organized, efficient, and running smoothly.

If you enjoy building relationships, staying organized, embracing new technology, and finding better ways to support people, you’ll find meaningful work here.

What You’ll Do
Talent Acquisition
  • Partner with hiring managers to recruit for seasonal and year‑round positions across multiple departments.
  • Screen applicants, conduct phone interviews, coordinate interviews, and guide candidates and hiring managers through the hiring process.
  • Develop creative sourcing strategies to attract high‑quality candidates.
  • Research and recommend new recruiting platforms, partnerships, and outreach opportunities.
  • Build relationships with colleges, universities, hospitality programs, workforce agencies, and industry organizations.
  • Create an exceptional candidate experience from first conversation through onboarding.
Employee Experience
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation.
  • Build trusted relationships by serving as an approachable resource for employees throughout their employment journey.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and employee events.
  • Coordinate uniforms, onboarding materials, and other employee resources.
  • Help create a welcoming and positive experience for every new employee joining the Ranch.
HR Operations
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  • Utilize Rippling and other HR technology to support efficient HR operations.
  • Assist with policy administration, compliance, reporting, and HR communications.
  • Create recruiting content for LinkedIn and other platforms to strengthen Lone Mountain Ranch’s employer brand.
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, workflows, and administrative processes.
Supporting Our Teams
  • Provide practical HR guidance and day‑to‑day support to managers and employees.
  • Help solve problems while balancing employee needs with operational priorities.
  • Collaborate across departments to support hiring, employee success, and the overall operation.
  • Step outside of traditional HR responsibilities when needed to support the team and create a better employee experience.
Who Thrives Here

This role is a great fit for someone who:

  • Is passionate about recruiting and enjoys connecting exceptional people with meaningful opportunities.
  • Thrives in the fast pace and changing priorities of a seasonal hospitality environment.
  • Is highly organized and enjoys creating systems that improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Loves balancing people‑focused work with administrative excellence.
  • Is naturally curious, embraces technology, and enjoys learning new systems and tools.
  • Takes ownership, follows through, and looks for solutions rather than reasons something can’t be done.
  • Enjoys collaborating across departments and building strong working relationships.
  • Brings professionalism, sound judgment, empathy, discretion, and integrity to every interaction.
  • Understands that taking great care of employees leads to exceptional guest experiences.
What You’ll Bring
You’ll be successful in this role if you have:
  • A minimum of five years of professional work experience.
  • Human Resources experience with recruiting, onboarding, and employee support.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and employee relations.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience working with HRIS platforms and confidence learning new technology.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business software.
Bonus points if you also have:
  • Hospitality, resort, or seasonal workforce experience.
  • Experience with Rippling or another modern HRIS.
  • Experience sourcing candidates through LinkedIn and other recruiting platforms.
  • Experience building recruiting partnerships with colleges, workforce agencies, or hospitality organizations.
  • A passion for improving systems, embracing new technology, and finding better ways to support employees and managers.
