Job summary

SMBC Group is seeking an HR Data Architecture & Governance leader to define and govern the structure, standards, and usability of HR data across enterprise platforms. The role drives trusted, scalable, and compliant people data for analytics, reporting, and regulatory use.

You will lead canonical data models, system-of-record designations, and data contracts, partnering with Finance, Risk, and Compliance to ensure data quality and privacy. Hybrid work options are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred in Data Management, Information Systems, HR, Business, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data governance, people data, or enterprise data management.
• Experience with enterprise data platforms and governance tooling (e.g., Collibra).
• Ability to translate HR concepts into clear, structured data constructs.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR data architecture and governance, ensuring data is structured, standardized, and governed.
• Define data contracts, lineage, and quality controls for HR data outputs.
• Ensure HR data supports downstream consumption and regulatory needs.
• Collaborate with Analytics, Finance, Risk, and Compliance teams to integrate data across platforms.
