Job summary

Summit BHC is seeking an HR Coordinator to support recruitment, onboarding, employee records, HRIS data maintenance, benefits support, and compliance across our Texas facilities. You will serve as the first point of contact for routine HR questions, help with policy communication, and assist with training administration, employee relations, and reporting to support a positive work environment.

  • Knowledge of The Joint Commission, facility licensing standards and third-party payor requirements.

  • Oversee onboarding and orientation, complete employment documents.
  • Maintain accurate employee information in HRIS and records; audit files.

**About the Job:**The HR Coordinator supports the effective delivery of human resources services by coordinating key HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, orientation, employee records, HRIS data maintenance, training administration, benefits support, employee relations, recognition activities, and compliance-related processes. This position serves as a resource to employees and supervisors for routine HR questions and assists with day-to-day HR operations to promote accurate documentation, consistent communication, regulatory compliance, and a positive work environment.**Roles and Responsibilities:**Recruitment and Hiring Support* Assist with recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate communication, interview scheduling, and tracking open positions.* Coordinate pre-employment screening and prepare hiring documentation, including offer letters, as directed.* Support recruitment events and other hiring initiatives as needed.Onboarding, Orientation, and Employee Transitions* Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation activities, including completion of required employment documents.* Communicate onboarding requirements and related information to employees, supervisors, and applicable departments.* Assist with employee transition and termination processes, including timely documentation and system updates.HRIS, Records, and Compliance Administration* Maintain accurate employee information in HRIS and other required systems.* Organize, update, and audit personnel files to ensure required records are complete and accurate.* Track licensure, certification, training, and other compliance-related requirements.* Prepare reports and documentation to support internal, federal, state, licensing, and audit requirements.Employee Relations, Policy Guidance, and Confidentiality* Serve as an initial point of contact for routine HR questions from employees and supervisors.* Communicate HR policies, procedures, and practices in a clear and consistent manner.* Provide general guidance and escalate complex or sensitive matters to appropriate HR leadership.* Maintain confidentiality of employee information and HR records at all times.Training, HR Operations, Projects, and Reporting* Track employee training completion through the Learning Management System and follow up on outstanding requirements.* Support HR projects, process improvement efforts, employee engagement activities, and facility HR initiatives.* Collaborate with corporate and facility partners to complete reports, respond to requests, and support operational needs.**ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Complies with organizational policies, procedures, performance improvement initiatives and maintains regulatory and industry standards.* Maintains regular and reliable attendance.* Accepts responsibility for professional growth and development of self and attends all mandatory facility in-services and staff development activities as scheduled.* Maintains professionalism and confidentiality of facility employees and clients.* Performs other duties as assigned.**CULTURAL EXPECTATIONS:*** **Honesty**: Works with integrity and fairness.* **Accountability:** Promote trust, ensure responsible behavior, and contribute to team success.* **Responsibility:** Accept responsibility for work product and performance.* **Adaptability:** Receptive to giving and receiving feedback.* **Collaboration:** Work effectively with team members, leadership, and/or external sources to achieve goals.* **Competence**: Strives to be the best and hold selves accountable.* **Perseverance**: Meets challenges with the resolve to succeed.* **Passion**: Cares about what we do, each other and who we serve.* **Respect**: Honors the human dignity of everyone we work with.* **Teamwork**: Succeeds, and have fun, by pulling together.**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:*** Associate’s degree in human resources, business or related field required OR High School diploma plus related comparable experience.* Two or more years’ human resources experience required, preferably in healthcare field.* Knowledge of The Joint Commission, facility licensing standards and third-party payor requirements is beneficial to aspects of the job.* Working knowledge of state and federal employment laws.* Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, employees, and external customers.**LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:**Not Applicable.**WORK LOCATION:**This position is onsite and is not a remote position.**SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS:**This position is an Individual Contributor.Why The Ranch at Dove Tree?The Ranch at Dove Tree offers a comprehensive benefit plan and a competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
