Qualifications

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • Experience in HR Generalist/Coordinator/Specialist or similar role preferred.
  • Knowledge of benefits administration, LOA, payroll processes, and employee lifecycle transactions.
  • Knowledge of employment laws including FMLA, ADA, wage/hour requirements, and state/federal requirements.
  • Ability to support HR programs across North America (US & Canada).
  • Strong organizational, customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS, payroll, benefits, case management, or related HR systems preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general HR guidance to employees and managers on policies and programs.
  • Provide regional HR support across North America (US & Canada).
  • Administer and support employee benefits enrollment and changes with vendors.
  • Administer LOA processes (medical, personal, military, etc.).
  • Coordinate FMLA requests and related leave requirements.
  • Manage ADA accommodation processes and confidential documentation.
  • Support payroll questions and liaise with payroll contacts.
  • Assist with onboarding, orientation, and offboarding activities.

  • Provide attendance/time-off/workforce support and resolve issues with managers.

Job Summary:

The HR Coordinator provides broad, day-to-day human resources support across the employee lifecycle, with regional support responsibility across North America, including the United States and Canada. This role serves as a knowledgeable and responsive resource for employees and managers, supporting benefits administration, leave of absence administration, employee support, payroll coordination, employee records, onboarding, recruiting, policy guidance, and general HR programs. The HR Generalist is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and compliant HR support while promoting a positive employee experience, coordinating directly with department leadership, payroll contacts, benefit vendors, and other business contacts as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide general HR guidance and support to employees and managers regarding company policies, procedures, programs, and employee-related questions.
  • Provide regional HR support across North America, including the United States and Canada, working directly with employees and managers to address local and regional HR needs and support consistent service delivery.
  • Administer and support employee benefits programs, including enrollment, eligibility changes, life events, employee questions, and direct coordination with benefits vendors and plan contacts.
  • Administer leave of absence (LOA) processes, including medical, personal, military, and other applicable leave programs, while maintaining accurate documentation and timely communication.
  • Coordinate Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) requests and related leave requirements in accordance with applicable federal and state regulations and company policy.
  • Manage Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accommodation requests by coordinating the interactive process, communicating with employees and managers as appropriate, and maintaining confidential documentation.
  • Serve as a point of contact for payroll-related questions and coordinate directly with payroll contacts to research and resolve pay, timekeeping, attendance, deduction, and employee record issues.
  • Assist employees with general inquiries into work related questions, and other HR-related processes to ensure a timely and positive colleague experience.
  • Maintain accurate employee data, personnel records, HR system information, and required documentation while protecting confidentiality.
  • Support employee onboarding, orientation, offboarding, status changes, transfers, promotions, and other employee lifecycle transactions.
  • Assist with staffing activities as needed, including, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, coordinating pre-employment activities, and supporting hiring managers.
  • Provide support for attendance, time-off, scheduling, and workforce-related questions, partnering with managers and employees to resolve issues.
  • Coordinate directly with department leadership, payroll contacts, benefits vendors, and other business contacts as needed to ensure accurate employee records and consistent HR service delivery.
  • Interpret and apply company policies and procedures and support compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Handle employee relations matters by gathering information, documenting concerns, addressing issues within the scope of the role, and supporting consistent application of policies.
  • Prepare and maintain HR reports, employee documentation, and other records as required.
  • Support HR projects, audits, training, communications, employee engagement initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Perform other general Human Resources duties as business needs require.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • Previous experience in a Human Resources Generalist, HR Coordinator, HR Specialist, or similar role preferred.
  • Working knowledge of benefits administration, leave of absence administration, payroll processes, employee lifecycle transactions, and general HR practices.
  • General knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, wage and hour requirements, and other applicable federal and state requirements.
  • Ability to support HR programs and employee matters across North America, with awareness of differing employment practices, policies, and regulatory requirements in the United States and Canada.
  • Strong organizational, customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with HRIS, payroll, benefits, case management, or related HR systems preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and provide timely follow-through.
