Job summary

PureCars in Kansas City, MO, is seeking an HR Coordinator to support the full employee lifecycle. Responsibilities include recruitment, payroll administration, onboarding, training coordination, compliance, and employee relations with confidentiality and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • PHR or SHRM-CP preferred, or equivalent combination of HR experience.
  • 2-4 years of HR experience with exposure to recruitment, payroll, employee relations, and HR administration.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll platforms (such as Rippling, TrakStar, or similar systems).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications.

Responsibilities

  • Support recruitment functions for assigned roles, including job postings, scheduling, screening, interviewing, and coordinating with hiring managers.
  • Maintain applicant tracking systems and ensure a positive and timely candidate experience.
  • Maintain payroll records, audit timesheets, and manage payroll changes such as new hires, terminations, promotions, and compensation adjustments.
  • Partner with Finance on payroll reconciliations and reporting as needed.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for employees, addressing general questions, concerns, and policy interpretations.
  • Coordinate new hire People Operations onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a seamless start for employees.
  • Track training compliance and help manage company-wide training initiatives and learning platforms.
  • Maintain accurate employee files, HRIS data, and documentation in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Assist with benefits administration, open enrollment, and employee communications.
  • Support performance management processes, including review cycles and goal-setting.
  • Assist with day-to-day office operations, including managing office supplies, vendor coordination, workspace organization, and ensuring a positive workplace environment.
  • Coordinate company meetings, employee events, recognition programs, and other culture and engagement initiatives.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes and employee experience initiatives.
  • Prepare HR reports, dashboards, and metrics as requested.
  • Support special projects, compliance audits, and organizational initiatives as assigned.

Job Summary - HR Coordinator

The HR Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the full employee lifecycle and ensuring smooth HR operations across the organization. This position is responsible for executing day-to-day HR activities, including recruitment, payroll administration, onboarding, training coordination, compliance, and employee relations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to delivering an excellent employee experience while maintaining confidentiality and ensuring adherence to company policies and employment laws.

Work Location
  • This position is hybrid, requiring 4 days per week in the office at our Kansas City, Missouri location.
What You\'ll Do

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications.
