Job summary

ARCO a Family of Construction Companies is seeking an organized Human Resources Coordinator to support associates through onboarding, learning, engagement, and ongoing HR services.

You will partner with HR, Talent Acquisition, IT, and leadership to ensure timely, thoughtful support and process improvements across the employee journey.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in Human Resources, recruiting coordination, employee experience, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of fundamental HR practices and the associate lifecycle.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a service-oriented approach.
  • Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Sound judgment, resourcefulness, and the ability to determine when an issue should be escalated.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and HRIS/ATS/LMS platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end onboarding experience, including preboarding communications, orientation, Form I-9, workstation setup, and coordination with HR, IT, and hiring managers.
  • Process associate and organizational changes in partnership with our COE, including promotions, transfers, and reporting relationships.
  • Coordinate employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, internal transitions, and offboarding.
  • Support associate engagement and recognition programs, onboarding events, milestone celebrations, and parent gifts.
  • Maintain onboarding resources, new-hire materials, swag, and orientation supplies.
  • Respond to routine associate questions regarding HR policies, procedures, programs, and resources.
  • Manage and maintain the organization’s job description library with HR/business leaders.
  • Create and maintain HR templates, process documentation, SOPs, and shared resources.
  • Support team projects, annual initiatives, and continuous-improvement efforts.

We are looking for a Human Resources Coordinator to support associates throughout their employment journey—from candidate experience and onboarding to learning, engagement, and ongoing HR support. This role partners across Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, IT, and business leadership to ensure associates receive timely, thoughtful, and consistent support.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
  • Lead the end‑to‑end onboarding experience, including preboarding communications, orientation, Form I‑9 completion, workstation preparation, onboarding schedules, and coordination with HR, IT, and hiring managers.

  • Support associate engagement and recognition programs, including onboarding events, milestone celebrations, parental gifts, and other associate‑experience initiatives.
  • Maintain onboarding resources, new‑hire materials, swag, and orientation supplies.
  • Respond to routine associate questions regarding HR policies, procedures, programs, and resources.
  • Manage and maintain the organization’s job description library, partnering with HR and business leaders to ensure job descriptions are accurate, consistent, and updated as roles evolve.
  • Create and maintain HR templates, process documentation, standard operating procedures, and shared resources.
  • Support team projects, annual initiatives, and continuous‑improvement efforts.
TALENT ACQUISITION
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to deliver an organized and positive candidate experience.
  • Coordinate interviews, candidate communications, travel arrangements, and interview schedules.
  • Maintain accurate and timely candidate information within the applicant tracking system.
  • Assist with job postings, interview materials, offer‑process coordination, preemployment activities, and recruiting events.
  • Support recruiting reporting, and other Talent Acquisition projects as needed.
LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT
  • Provide coordination support for training communications, calendar invitations, participant materials, room logistics, and manager reminders.
  • Curate e‑learning and one‑off training requests for associates while maintaining accurate and current training records and learning data.
  • Support leadership‑development programs, new‑manager resources, and other learning initiatives.
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, or a related field.
  • 2‑4 years of experience in Human Resources, recruiting coordination, employee experience, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of fundamental HR practices and the associate lifecycle.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills with a service‑oriented approach.
  • Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and follow‑through.
