Manufacturing Support is responsible for providing advice, counsel, and support to assigned Business Center team members and managers regarding employee performance, attendance, behavioral issues, and interpretation of company policies, procedures, and guidelines. The role involves monitoring and overseeing adherence to HR, State, Federal, and Corporate compliance rules and regulations. This is a hands-on role that will be a member of the Business Center leadership team(s), primarily supporting production floor employee relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute talent initiatives to improve overall business performance within your assigned function.
- Partner with functions to deliver initiatives such as performance reviews, pay planning, succession planning, employee experience survey action planning, benefits enrollment, change management, etc.
- Provide tactical support to frontline managers.
- Offer counsel to management regarding company programs, processes, and policies.
- Assist managers with performance concerns, coaching, and documentation.
- Collaborate with managers to assess talent and develop plans.
- Serve as the point of contact for employee questions and complaints related to policy and performance management.
- Conduct investigations related to employee relations concerns.
- Assist with recruiting and staffing projects as needed.
- Conduct exit interviews, analyze root causes for voluntary separations, and develop retention strategies for designated units.
- Coordinate training initiatives with the HR team, focusing on site and Business Center needs.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, English, Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on HR Generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience managing multiple priorities such as investigations, recruitment, and projects.
- Thorough knowledge of workplace investigations and behavioral interviewing techniques.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS/recruiting or applicant tracking systems.
- Professional certification such as PHR or SPHR is preferred; knowledge of employment law and HR best practices through experience is essential.
