Triumph HR is seeking an experienced HR Consultant based in the Greater Boston area for a fully remote, full-time role. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, managing multiple engagements, guiding hiring and separations, and driving HR processes that support growing businesses.
This client-facing role requires proactive ownership, strong communication, and the ability to build structured programs while collaborating with vendors and internal teams.
Triumph HR is a growing HR consulting firm supporting small to mid-sized businesses with practical, people-first HR guidance—from compliance and strategic foundations to employee relations and leadership support. We're growing intentionally and every hire matters.
This is a client-facing HR consulting role for someone who moves fast, builds structure, and knows how to keep multiple client engagements running smoothly at once. You'll work directly with clients and their employees, manage competing priorities, and drive momentum by being proactive, taking ownership, and consistently following through. This is a full-time role. Although this is a remote, full-time position, candidates must be based in the Greater Boston area.
Show up as a true partner and trusted advisor to your clients — someone they value, lean on, and look forward to hearing from — and proactively look for ways to deepen that relationship and bring more value over time
Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, knowing how to prioritize, shift focus, and keep work moving without letting anything slip
Guide and support clients through hiring and separation decisions, providing thoughtful recommendations and guidance to leadership
Navigate employee relations matters and sensitive conversations with confidence, care, and sound judgment
Draft, customize, and update HR documents (handbooks, policies, job descriptions, manager resources) that are compliant, clear, and aligned with each client's culture
Build and implement practical HR processes and systems that actually work for growing businesses
Lead initiatives such as performance reviews, training and development, compensation planning, and engagement efforts
Support payroll and benefit adjacent activities as needed, partnering with internal teams and vendors to help ensure accurate, timely, and compliant administration and communication
Track details, follow up consistently, and close every loop — especially when things move fast or priorities shift
Proactively flag compliance considerations, risks, and needed updates before they become problems
Represent Triumph HR the way we show up every day — with warmth, responsiveness, and integrity
Have 5+ years of broad HR experience, including hands‑on generalist and/or consulting work
Are based in the Greater Boston area and available for occasional in-person client visits (around the I‑95 corridor preferred)
Move fast, stay organized, and close every loop. You're decisive, proactive, composed, and keep multiple engagements running smoothly without missing a beat
Are confident advising leaders directly, owning client relationships, and recommending a path forward even when you don't have every answer
Know how to tailor your approach to each client's context. You build structure where there isn't any and adapt quickly when things change
Communicate with clarity, confidence, and warmth, especially in writing
Take real ownership of your work and care deeply about doing it well
Want to grow with a purpose-driven, high-integrity HR firm that believes in people-first work
To be respectful of everyone’s time, this role is not a fit for individuals who:
Are running their own HR consulting practice or building a separate consulting firm
Are looking for a short-term engagement
This role requires full-time availability, dedicated professional focus, and a genuine long-term interest in growing with Triumph HR as the business continues to expand.
A base salary of $95,000–$110,000 per year, depending on experience
The opportunity to earn additional commission by expanding existing client relationships and bringing new clients and opportunities to Triumph HR
A 401(k) plan with an employer match
The flexibility of a remote role, balanced with opportunities to build meaningful relationships with clients and teammates throughout Greater Boston
Interesting, varied work across different businesses, industries, and HR challenges—no two clients or days look exactly the same
A collaborative team to brainstorm with, learn from, and lean on when situations are complex
The chance to make a visible impact within a growing firm and help shape how we serve our clients as we continue to expand
A people-first team that values initiative, fresh ideas, high standards, and doing excellent work without taking ourselves too seriously
