Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking an HR Compliance Manager to lead the firm’s employment compliance program across federal, state, and local jurisdictions. You will enhance policies, procedures, and training with proactive risk assessment and audits.

You will partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to identify compliance risks, provide guidance, and drive firmwide initiatives. This role does not manage people but owns compliance processes with a strong governance mindset.

Qualifications

• Deep proficiency in federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Ability to translate legal requirements into clear HR policies.
• Experience conducting internal HR audits and risk assessments.
• Strong governance of HR policy documentation and training materials.

Responsibilities

• Monitor changes in employment laws and update Firm policies.
• Serve as SME on HR policies for HR, leadership, and stakeholders.
• Lead HR compliance documentation, governance, and audit readiness.
• Plan and conduct internal audits of HR processes for compliance.
• Develop and deliver mandatory HR compliance training programs.
• Prepare HR compliance reporting and statutory filings.
