Job Duties:- The HR Business Partner/Recruiter will be assigned to areas within the state, to identify potential sources of talent, develop talent acquisition strategies, and fulfill agency workforce needs.
- Performs standard Recruitment activities using the State's employment application portal (NeoGov): which includes drafting and posting engaging vacancy announcements, evaluating applications, and referring candidates for interview and potential employment. Provides technical assistance to hiring managers and applicants as necessary throughout the recruitment cycle. Provides excellent customer service, using a wide range of communication methods to ensure customer satisfaction.
- As a HR Business Partner, incumbent is expected to establish and maintain supportive and collaborative relationships with management and supervisors to be able to provide staffing needs.
- Represents the Agency at job fairs, hiring events, colleges and community events. Markets the Agency to potential applicants and conduct initial interviews of applicants. In collaboration with DSS Regional and County management, schedules specialized local hiring opportunities, and employs other recruitment strategies.
- Develops relationships and communication networks consisting of community organizations, college career centers, staffing agencies, and the media in their assigned area of responsibility. In collaboration with agency management, develops marketing campaigns to engage passive talent and message the availability of the DSS career opportunities.
- Assists with processing background and SLED checks.
- Performs Red Cross shelter duty or other emergency shelter duty/services as directed.
State Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree and relevant experience.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.
Agency Requirements:
A high school diploma and five (5) years of relevant experience.
or an associate's degree and three (3) years of relevant experience.
or a bachelor's degree and one (1) years of relevant experience.
or a master's degree.
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license while employed in this position. Ability to travel for recruitment meetings, college visits, and career fairs.
