Job summary

MGL, a division of Metro Supply Chain, seeks an experienced HR Leader to support a defense-sector operation in Anniston, Alabama. You will partner with operations leaders to enhance engagement, compliance, and workforce planning.

The role blends strategic initiatives with hands-on HR on the floor, focusing on employee relations, performance management, safety compliance, and building a high-performing, multi-site workforce. This is a critical role that influences culture and operational success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years progressive HR leadership experience.
• Experience supporting large employee populations in distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or operations.
• Strong employee relations, performance management, and employment law expertise.
• Experience supporting both hourly and salaried workforces.
• Multi-site HR experience is a strong asset.
• Ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Operations Leadership to align people strategies with business objectives.
• Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations, performance management, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and talent development.
• Analyze workforce metrics to identify trends and drive improvements.
• Lead employee relations investigations and coach leaders on performance management and development.
• Ensure policies and procedures comply with federal and state requirements.
• Lead recruiting efforts for hourly to professional positions and build pipelines.
• Support OSHA compliance and workplace safety programs; participate in incident investigations.
