Job summary

Evergen is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner for a hybrid role in West Lafayette, IN. You will act as the primary HR partner for the site, coaching leaders, managing employee relations, and driving performance and culture initiatives.

You’ll lead recruitment, workforce planning, and change management while ensuring HR compliance and partnering with global functions. The role offers strong visibility and cross-location impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, operations, or other business functions.
• Strong employee relations and manager coaching expertise.
• Recruiting and talent acquisition experience.
• Knowledge of employment law and HR compliance.
• Ability to work independently and influence without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR partner for the West Lafayette operation and support leaders across locations and functions.
• Coach and influence managers, address employee relations and workplace issues.
• Lead performance management conversations and drive engagement and culture initiatives.
• Support organizational change, growth, and workforce planning initiatives.

Salary Range: $85,000.00 To $100,000.00 Annually

What You'll Do:

This is not a back-office HR role.

You'll serve as the primary HR partner for our West Lafayette operation while supporting leaders across multiple locations and functions.

You'll spend much of your time:

• Coaching and influencing managers
• Navigating employee relations and workplace issues
• Leading performance management conversations
• Driving engagement, retention, and culture initiatives
• Supporting organizational change and growth
• Recruiting top talent across functions
• Partnering with leaders on workforce planning and talent strategies
• Leading investigations and ensuring employment law compliance
• Delivering leadership training and development initiatives

This role is approximately 40% focused on manager coaching, employee relations, performance management, and leadership support.

• Advisory support for our New Zealand site

You'll be a key member of the HR team with the opportunity to influence leaders, improve processes, and directly impact employee experience across the organization.

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience
• Experience supporting manufacturing, operations, or other business functions
• Strong employee relations and manager coaching expertise
• Recruiting and talent acquisition experience
• Knowledge of employment law and HR compliance
• Ability to work independently and influence without direct authority

Preferred:

• Experience supporting organizational change or post-acquisition integration
• HR analytics and HRIS experience
