Responsibilities
  • Assist in directing the operations and staff of the HR department. Develop, implement, and manage operational goals and monitor achievements of performance and profit objectives.
  • Create effective and efficient schedules, maintain labor costs, meet staffing objectives, and achieve guest satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain productive, informative, and respectful relationships that support achievement of business-focused results with assigned departments.
  • Serve as a business partner to various client groups. Understand organizational structures; develop knowledge of business unit needs; provide HR support to all levels of staff. Ensure property HR SLAs are followed and met.
  • Identify and develop strategies for client groups regarding turnover, retention, staff development, engagement, employee relations, guest service, compensation, wellness, and performance management issues.
  • Establish partnerships with local workforce development groups, colleges, and community outreach organizations.
  • Partner with top HR leaders on budget reconciliations, P&L review, and departmental purchasing approval.
  • Assist in departmental budget planning, ensure compliance, and report concerns.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership on HR strategy development.
  • Analyze property trends related to engagement, turnover, and staff development; develop solutions and policies as needed.
  • Manage and resolve employee and labor relations issues, conduct investigations, and ensure legal compliance.
  • Provide guidance on performance management, including coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain current knowledge of HR policies, laws, and regulations.
  • Develop reports and analyze HR metrics, including HR Scorecard and strategic plans.
  • Facilitate training and development programs, analyze results, and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Promote and demonstrate superior customer service standards.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and report issues to management.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field, with five or more years of HR Generalist experience, or equivalent.
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluent in English.
  • High confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with iCiMS and UltiPro a plus.
  • Energetic, proactive, strategic problem-solver.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to produce reports, business correspondence, and manuals.
  • Effective presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Diplomatic and tactful in resolving problems and conflicts.
  • Intermediate competence in leadership, customer service, engagement, and emotional intelligence.
  • Collaborative team player, effective communicator.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Flexible to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
