HARMAN International in Novi, MI is seeking a Strategic People Advisor for Car Audio and Connectivity within the Automotive division to partner with senior leaders, drive talent priorities, and address critical talent challenges through data-driven HR solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related discipline.
• 7+ years of HR experience in a matrixed, global environment.
• Strong stakeholder management across leadership and employee-representative groups.
• Problem-solving, critical thinking, coaching and strategic consulting skills.
• Experience with project management, financial oversight and business acumen.
• Knowledge of local HR law and cross-country compliance.
• Excellent written and spoken communication; comfort with AI-enabled tools.

What You'll Be Part Of

As a Strategic People Advisor for Car Audio and Connectivity within the Automotive division, you will work with senior business leaders to proactively drive talent priorities, identify and address critical talent challenges and support the business in achieving its strategic objectives. In this role, you will build strong partnerships with business leaders to understand their specific business needs and apply a data-driven approach to progressing the talent agenda, promoting workforce optimization and ensuring an exceptional user experience supported by efficient and modern HR solutions. You will enable HARMAN to proactively align talent strategies with business objectives, fostering innovation, agility and sustainable growth. You will report to People Leader for Engineering.

How You'll Make An Impact

• Own the relationship with business leaders by connecting with curiosity, purpose and impact asking the right questions, coaching, and influencing on HR matters
• Understand business strategies and translate them into actionable talent initiatives that drive bottom-line results and progress the talent agenda
• Collaborate with business leaders to understand division nuances and advise on tailored solutions to meet their needs and create an exceptional user experience
• Identify interconnectedness of components within the HR function and propose recommendations that address root causes of talent trends/issues
• Generate insights through data and evidence to identify trends, patterns and correlations and create talent strategies to advance the talent agenda
• Promote workforce optimization through workforce planning and culture initiatives
• Reinforce adoption of existing technology and identify opportunities to further enhance automation and self-service capabilities
• Identify and translate business needs and priorities to the COEs

What Makes You A Strong Fit

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related discipline
• 7+ years of experience in HR
• Ability to operate in a highly matrixed, global and diverse environment
• Strong stakeholder management skills across leadership and employee-representative environments
• Demonstrable skills in problem-solving, critical thinking, coaching and strategic consulting
• Proficiency in project management, financial oversight, business acumen, budgetary
• Experience in employee-relations matters such as union and workers council engagement
• Knowledge of local HR law and legislation and ability to work across countries to ensure legal compliance
• Structured, execution-focused, and comfortable working in complex and fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication skills in speech and writing
• We see AI as an important part of how work gets done. While tools may vary, a baseline familiarity with using AI to support efficiency, problem-solving, and quality is expected

• Business/industry knowledge desired
• Professional HR certification desired (e.g. Six Sigma, project management, professional training, change management)
• Additional language skills

Pay Transparency

$ 161,250 - $ 236,500

Dependent on the position offered, other forms of compensation are also available, such as bonuses or commission.

Pay is based on a wide range of factors, including, without limitation, skill set, experience, training, location, and business need.
