Job summary

HARMAN is seeking a Finance Business Partner in Novi, MI to act as a liaison between Finance and business units, delivering financial insights to support operational decisions and growth targets. You will participate in cross-functional teams and help drive the End-to-End Business Case lifecycle.

The role requires 3–5 years in controlling or program management, a finance-related degree, and strong SAP/Excel skills.

• Experience with automotive RFI/RFQ processes.
• 3-5 years in project/business controlling, program management, or cost management.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• Skilled in SAP, financial planning tools, financial modeling, and Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills; business acumen and ability to influence teams.
• Experience with cross-functional collaboration and customer account management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple small to mid-sized programs across SBU.
• Support End-to-End Business Case lifecycle activities including, but not limited to: Influencing quote and pricing scenarios; Providing financial insights and advice to CAM to meet strategic goals; Enforcing compliance to process, tools, and approvals; Participating in comprehensive business case reviews with SBU controlling and CAM stakeholders and providing actionable recommendations.
• Tracking and monitoring financial risks and opportunities; Advanced scenario analysis; Comprehensive documentation of inputs and changes; Identify and communicate commercial levers and trade-offs; Provide input to CAM for leadership reviews including GRO, VCOM, and Board of Directors; Reconcile scope and contract with the quoted baseline and identify variances; Conduct variance analysis, monitor KPIs, and report on financial performance; Represent finance in cross-functional projects and strategic discussions; Serve as the contact for budget reviews, adherence to policy procedures, and implementation of quality control measures; Participate in cross functional collaboration activities.

As a Finance Business Partner, you will act as a key liaison between Finance and the business unit, providing financial insights and analysis to support operational decision-making and ensure alignment with organizational objectives and growth targets. This role actively participates in cross functional collaboration activities and supports the team as needed.

What You Will Do

• Support customer claim activities, monitor and drive actions, and validate completeness


• Support audit responses and compliance


• Provide scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis for strategic initiatives.


• Translate financial data into actionable business insights.


• Represent finance in cross-functional projects and strategic discussions.


• Serve as the contact for budget reviews, adherence to policy procedures, and implementation of quality control measures.


• Participate in cross functional collaboration activities

What You Need to Be Successful

• Experience with automotive RFI/RFQ processes.

Pay Transparency

$ 78,750 - $ 115,500

Dependent on the position offered, other forms of compensation are also available, such as bonuses or commission.

Pay is based on a wide range of factors, including, without limitation, skill set, experience, training, location, and business need.
