This position serves as the Human Resources (HR) professional and is responsible for the alignment of HR and business strategies. The HRBP works closely with leaders to understand the Organizational priorities and translates them into the highest impact strategic and tactical HR initiatives. The HRBP formulates partnerships across the HR functions/centers of excellence to deliver value-added initiatives.

This is a full-time exempt position working Monday-Friday from 7:00am-4:00pm PST.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Establish and manage strategic projects with Leadership, CHRO and SLT
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR Centers of Excellence to develop solutions, programs, and processes
  • Partner with Talent Management to deliver talent management practices to attract and develop high potential talent for the organization
  • Develop and manage employee engagement strategies within the organization in response to employee surveys and the “RISE” initiative
  • Identify organization development opportunities and facilitates identification of training programs
  • Serve as a change management leader; supporting the Organization’s desired culture change and effectively the Organization leadership to drive change
  • In partnership with the HR assistant, effectively administers the performance management process and facilitating leadership excellence in managing employee performance.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations/grievance issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Maintains in depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Assists the Chief Human Resources Officer with the collective bargaining process including participation as a member of the negotiating team and coordination of the process. Implements and interprets labor contract for the organization.
  • Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise
  • Ensures no injuries to self or others by following safe work practices and policies. This includes, but is not limited to security and safety, understanding of Safety Data Sheets (SDS), equipment, infection control, fire disaster, safe lifting, and body mechanics.
  • Ensures self-compliance with organization policies and procedures, as well as labor agreements
  • Ensures that additional accountabilities as may be required by management be handled in a manner necessary to meet organizational standards

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The individual in this position reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer. This position works closely with SLT, Directors, Supervisors, Union Representatives, and all other staff to support HR activities.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent) required.
  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field (or equivalent) preferred.
  • Certification:
  • Professional certification is preferred
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 7+ years of human resources experience preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of union experience or employee relations strongly preferred
  • Solid human resources generalist background with the ability to provide expertise in a wide range of HR products and services
  • Strong evidence of stretch assignments that are affirmation of superior performance
  • The ability to understand business strategy and goals and translate into human resources initiatives; pragmatic and very hands on in operations and contribute to the operating plans of the Allied Health Division and Organization by enabling HR solutions that drive business performance
  • Passion for innovative HR solutions and process improvement
  • Strong project management skills: ability to lead projects at the Management level and obtain buy in and then drive execution and achievement of the right results
  • Strong solution focus and comfortable working in an environment which demands powerful deliverables

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel and climb stairs to varying degrees throughout the day
  • Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
  • Good reading eyesight; full vision acuity, depth perception, and color perception
  • Ability to communicate using verbal and/or written skills for accurate exchange of information with physicians, nurses, health care professionals, patients and/or family, and the public

Bachelors or better in Human Resource Administration or related field.

Masters or better in Human Resource Administration or related field.
