Job summary

Sundt is seeking a Project Human Resources Business Partner (P-HRBP) to serve as the primary HR resource for assigned projects, partnering with project leadership to align people strategies with project objectives. This role works with business leaders to proactively provide HR consultation throughout the project lifecycle while ensuring compliance with company policies and federal/state regulations.

  • 1.5+ years of HR experience in the construction industry.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.
  • Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or related fields preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of all employment-related laws and regulations (e.g. FMLA, ADA, ADEA, FLSA).
  • Must be able to travel within and out of state roughly 10%.
  • Must be able to work 100% in-office. Follow work schedule for project employees.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with onboarding activities, including New Hire Orientations, to ensure a positive new hire experience and successful integration into the project team.
  • Coach leaders on employee performance, accountability, conflict resolution, documentation, and leadership effectiveness.
  • Conducts various HR compliance investigations, audits, outside charges, reporting requirements, training, and others as needed, in line with the applicable company policy and/or regulatory directives.
  • Provides expertise in technical and regulatory aspects of the employment process, including during hiring, termination, performance management, rewards, etc.
  • Serves as a Trusted Advisor to employees and managers by effectively and collaboratively providing assistance in employee relations, while fostering trust that enhances the employee experience.
  • Supports the business concerning human capital needs and assessment. Identifies positions needing to be filled and works with Talent Acquisition teams to support the recruiting activities. May participate in project specific recruitment activity.
  • Understands project goals, workforce challenges, and operational priorities to provide strategic HR guidance.

Job Summary

The Project Human Resources Business Partner (P-HRBP) serves as the primary HR resource for assigned projects and partners closely with project leadership to align people strategies with project objectives. This role works with business leaders to proactively This position provides proactive HR consultation throughout the project lifecycle while ensuring compliance with company policies, as well as local, state and federal regulations.
The P-HRBP develops strong relationships with project leaders and employees to foster an engaged, productive and safe work environment while supporting workforce planning, employee relations, talent development, organizational effectiveness, and change management.

Key Responsibilities

7.Understand project goals, workforce challenges, and operational priorities to provide strategic HR guidance.

1.5+ years of HR experience. Must have some related work experience within the construction industry.
2.Bilingual English / Spanish required.
3.Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or related fields preferred.
4.Excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.
5.Extensive knowledge of all employment-related laws and regulations (e.g. FMLA, ADA, ADEA, and FLSA).
6.Must be able to travel within and out of state roughly 10%
7.Must be able to work 100% in-office. Follow work schedule for project employees.
8.Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs.
9.Significant experience investigating and resolving complex employee relations matters.
