Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information.
  2. Assists with new-hire orientations.
  3. Performs quality checks of benefits-related data.
  4. Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes.
  5. Distributes all benefits enrollment materials and determines eligibility.
  6. Enrolls employees with carriers and processes life status changes.
  7. Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
  8. Processes and administers all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA.
  9. Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities.
  10. Responds to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts.
  11. Assists with the open enrollment process.
  12. Provides necessary reports for allocation/billing charges.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Satisfactory completion of the Company’s standard drug and alcohol screen and background check process.
  2. Excellent written and verbal communications skills - Including phone etiquette.
  3. Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.
  4. Must be able to demonstrate effective people skills.
  5. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  6. Computer skills and knowledge of basic office software necessary.
  7. Good Attendance.
  8. Trustworthy – Will be handling confidential material.
