Job summary

Vanda Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in Washington, DC is seeking an HR Administrator to coordinate benefits eligibility, enrollments, and payroll data. The role includes onboarding, HRIS data changes, and reporting for insurance and 401(k).

The position is full-time and onsite, requiring a BA/BS and about 1 year of admin HR experience; PHR/SHRM-CP is a plus. You will support recruitment, verifications, and cross-functional HR requests with confidentiality and professionalism.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in human resources, psychology, or related field required.
  • 1 year of administrative experience in a fast-paced HR department preferred.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP a plus.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems a plus.
  • Team player with a high sense of urgency and motivation.
  • Must have sound interpersonal, communication, organization and analytic skills.
  • High proficiency with MS Office.
  • Ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality, professionalism, attention to detail, and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with auditing and running HRIS reports to support HR and cross-functional requests.
  • Supports fleet management, including tracking vehicle assignments, maintenance, and compliance documentation.
