We are actively hiring for an HR Assistant/ Representative for our plant in Saddle Brook, NJ
Duties & Responsibilites
- Manage full-cycle recruiting, including creating requisitions, screening candidates, conducting offer negotiations, onboarding, and offboarding.
- Prepare and distribute weekly recruiting reports for the location.
- Initiate and track background screening for candidates.
- Oversee the onboarding process and conduct new hire orientations.
- Verify I-9 documentation and submit information through E-Verify.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel records and employee files.
- Update and manage the HRIS system.
- Prepare new hire packets and ensure completion.
- Support training and development initiatives (e.g., compliance and safety training).
- Assist managers and employees with timecard and attendance adjustments.
- Help coordinate company events, including monthly and annual activities.
- Provide support in employee relations matters.
- Respond to employee and manager inquiries in a timely – manner
Experience/ Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience with ADP systems.
- 2–3 years of recruiting experience
- Bilingual – English & Spanish
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent HR work experience.
- Strong computer proficiency, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
