HomeGoods Distribution Center in Bloomfield, CT, part of The TJX Companies, Inc., is hiring a Human Resources Assistant for a Monday–Friday 10:00am–6:30pm schedule. The role supports payroll, HRIS maintenance, and associate inquiries in a fast-paced, onsite environment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of high-volume customer service or office-related work experience.
• Demonstrated ability to perform mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Attention to detail.
• Experience with Payroll in an HR Department preferred.
• Prior Kronos and Oracle experience a plus.
• Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a rapidly changing environment.
• Strong PC skills (MS Office - Word and Excel).
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily review of Associate timekeeping and coding of hours.
• Modify and correct timecards as necessary and create payroll adjustments.
• Update and maintain the HRIS with electronic files and status changes.
• Respond to associate inquiries regarding payroll and/or benefits.
• Oversee petty cash and the distribution of checks.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date new hire documents and records.
• Handle clerical/administration functions within HR.
• Maintain integrity and confidentiality of information.
• T perform other duties as assigned.
• This is an onsite position.
