Job description

The NISC IV program at Leidos has an opening for a Human Resource Assistant with prior federal agency and in support of the HR records management supporting the Federal Aviation Administration. The selected resource will perform basic, routine tasks in support of the HR records management program. Assignments includes collecting and recording data / information; uploading / indexing documents into eOPF, requesting and transferring eOPFs with other agencies or National Personnel Records Center; and tracks incoming / outgoing folders and related records. Utilizes automated tools and software in the performance of duties / responsibilities. Work performed under close direction of a manager, team leader, or more experienced staff.

Specific duties for the position include :

  • Carefully records proceedings, action items, and decisions, and generates a polished record of the meeting for executive distribution.
  • Provides recommendations, resolutions, and updates to office records, databases, and files for assigned programs.
  • Compiles and consolidates data from various sources into meaningful documents / reports that will be utilized by key divisional decision makers.
  • Use word processing equipment to produce draft and final documentation suitable for publication.
  • Type materials from written drafts originating in the different organizational elements of the organization.
  • Plan the layout of text, charts, forms, tabulation, or any combination of this material for neat and balanced appearance.
  • Refer situations involving significant deviations from established guidelines, or the absence of adequate guidelines, to supervisor.
  • Work from draft, edited, or previously typed material to record, update, and print required documentation.
  • Maintain record of work accomplished, files and document completed work, and works in cooperation with others in large, complex publication efforts.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1 year of relevant administrative experience
  • Knowledge of grammar, spelling, capitalization, and punctuation needed to type a variety of materials accurately from written sources or voice recording.
  • Knowledge of clerical procedures used to perform the work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree is highly desirable
  • Prior FAA Experience

Please note : This position requires the employees to be in office 5 days per week.

Pay Range :

Pay Range $34,450.00 - $62,275.00
