Job summary

Cabinetworks Group is seeking an HR/Administration professional to provide essential HR support, maintain personnel records, and handle Workday processing. You will coordinate benefits enrollment, organize luncheons and events, and address employee questions while maintaining highly confidential information.

JOB SUMMARY

Provides administrative support, maintains personnel records, provides Workday processing, coordinates luncheons, plant events, and works on special projects as needed. Also, answers employee questions pertaining to human resources matters and maintains highly confidential and sensitive information. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize diversified workload.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Process employment applications and maintain affirmative action records. Process and review employment applications in order to evaluate qualifications or eligibility of applicants. Conduct preliminary interview perceiver questionnaires and participate in selection of employee applications for pre-hire. Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants and conduct new hire orientations. Process, verify, and maintain documentation relating to personnel activities such as staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, and classifications. Enter and maintain information in Workday regarding personnel information, benefit changes and Leave of Absences. Answer questions regarding examinations, eligibility, salaries, benefits, and other pertinent information. Examine employee files to answer inquiries and provide information for personnel actions. Request information from law enforcement officials, previous employers, and other references in order to determine applicants' employment acceptability. Explain FMLA, Short-term disability policies and procedures to employees. Responsible for processing all FMLA and short-term disability claims and ensuring compliance with the FMLA. Coordinates summer picnic, holiday parties and company luncheons. Responsible for annual benefit enrollment, including educating employees on benefit changes. General clerical duties to help the HR department run effectively. Answer multi-line phones, greet customers/applicants. Assist HR Manager in a variety of personnel and safety activities.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Associates Degree Three years office type work experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with employment law, including FMLA, ADA, WC, and COBRA. Proficiency with MS Office. High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy. Attention to detail in composing, typing, filing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines. Must be willing to work needed hours to assure successful team results and to assure closure of team assignments. Must be comfortable working with all levels of management.
