TASTE is seeking a dependable and detail-orientedPrep Cookto join our Commissary Kitchen team. This role is essential to ensuring the consistency, quality, and efficiency of our prepared food offerings for retail locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, process, package, and stock food products according to established standards
• Follow daily prep lists and recipe guidelines with precision
• Use basic knife skills and kitchen tools to complete prep tasks efficiently
• Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen environment
• Assist in kitchen restocking, deep cleaning, and organization
• Work collaboratively with fellow associates to meet daily production goals

Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to follow detailed written or oral instructions
• Comfortable performing basic math (weights, measurements, conversions)
• Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills in a kitchen setting
• Ability to read and understand simple written documents in English
• Effective verbal communication in small group or one-on-one settings

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive team attitude

• Culinary/kitchen experience is preferred but not required

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, twist, and turn throughout the shift
• Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle both raw and cooked food
• Must be able to reach with hands and arms between 6–72 inches
• Ability to taste, smell, and hear at both close and long distances
• Must be able to lift and move at least 30lbs frequently, and up to 50lbs occasionally
