Job Summary
Responsible for prepping and preparation of food as directed and performing any cooking, baking, butchering required and performs any and all duties in the kitchen. The tasks assigned must be completed quickly and efficiently while still abiding by necessary guidelines that will ensure quality standards are met.
Compensation: Competitive salary, commensurate with experience.
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Adhere to Health Department and ServSafe regulations.
- Prepare food products as directed by recipe and/or supervisor while maintaining strict adherence to standards and specifications.
- Complete all assigned production priorities daily.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the work area (including but not limited to refrigerators, counters, tables, storage areas, etc.).
- Inform supervisor of any shortages or equipment malfunctions.
- Knowledge of food quality, utilization, storage, rotation and consistency.
- Demonstrate practical understanding of kitchen sanitation.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Preferred: Six months of experience in a commercial kitchen.
- Proficient in basic business math calculations; must pass a basic math skills test.
- Good spoken, read and written English sufficient for communication with customers, supervisors and employees.
- Ability to understand written and oral direction and communicate effectively with others.
- Creates and supports a team environment.
- Scheduling flexibility: must work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays as required.
- Work efficiently to meet high demand in a high‑stress environment.
- Ability to work in confined spaces for long periods, in both hot and cold temperature extremes.
- Adhere to Uniform Standards policy.
- Attention to detail and ability to adapt to changes, competing demands, delays or unexpected events.

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push up to 50 pounds, and move heavy wheeled carts (200+ pounds). Constant reaching, standing, walking, stooping, and repetitive eye/hand coordination required.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; irregular hours dictated by events.
- This position does not require computer skills.
Physical Demands
Regularly required to move around the facility; to stand for long hours during events; talk and hear. May require work inside or outside the building, as needed by events. Regular walking and standing, heavy lifting capacity as highlighted above.
