Job summary

Qnity is seeking a manufacturing operator to support our high‑volume production lines. You will monitor and operate production equipment, perform routine maintenance, and ensure product quality and safety standards are met.

The role requires dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of industrial experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and are comfortable with rotating day and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of industrial/manufacturing experience.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Willingness to work rotating day/night shifts and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in operating and monitoring production equipment to meet quality and production targets.
• Conduct basic maintenance and troubleshooting of processes per procedures.
• Collect and analyze samples to verify product meets requirements and document results.
• Follow safety protocols and participate in area safety activities.

The High-Performance Work System (HPWS) at Qnity enables team members to take ownership of performance, actively participate in continuous improvement, and build valuable skills for long‑term career growth. Through clear expectations, strong teamwork, and shop‑floor‑driven problem solving, HPWS creates an engaging, collaborative, and high‑accountability work environment focused on safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Shift: 12 rotating day and night shift. Every 4 weeks 7 consecutive days off.

Pay: $30.00 hourly

Your key responsibilities are to:

• Participate in promoting a positive work environment that is respectful and inclusive of all team members

• Complete training and administrative requirements timely and efficiently

• Monitor and operate complex processes, equipment and facilities

• Learn and perform both autonomous maintenance and shutdown maintenance activities

• Collect and analyze samples and verify that product meets requirements

• Safely manufacture, troubleshoot and make corrections to products following established procedures to ensure quality and production requirements are met

• Manage safety activities (work permitting), energy isolation, and write area operating procedures.

• Operate machinery in the production of roll-good material (i.e. nips, rollers, lathes, etc.)

• Perform product quality inspections per specific procedures and criteria using testing equipment; elevate abnormalities

• Follow established team standards for housekeeping, preventative maintenance and production schedules

• Collaborate with team members to solve problems and drive continuous improvements that deliver business value

• Participate in Core Teams: (One of Safety, Operations, Quality Control, Maintenance and Personnel) with ability to prioritize resources and focus to meet area business objectives.

• Participate in driving excellence in Area performance through active engagement in shift/turnover meetings, problem solving sessions and training events

Experience and Education:

• Minimum 1 year prior work experience in an industrial environment required (manufacturing, warehousing or equiv trade)

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Vocational school or Associate’s degree preferred

• Read and follow directions to complete assignments and tasks with minimal supervision within specific timelines

• Operate mobile equipment (i.e., fork truck), manufacturing machinery, basic hand tools and testing/metrology devices in a safe manner

Physical Requirements:

• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to steel toe shoes, gloves, hard hat

• Wear quality protective equipment (QPE) including but not limited to coveralls, hair/beard nets, shoe covers

• Climb stairs and ladders, bend, squat, push, pull, stand for extended periods of time and perform overhead work

• Lift > up to 10 lbs. frequently and lift > 11 to 50 lbs. occasionally

• Perform work that requires manual dexterity and repetitive movements of the upper extremities

• Work in an environment of varying degrees of temperature and humidity

• Work in scissor/Aerial lifts

• Handle chemicals and materials in a safe manner as per standard operating procedures
