Job summary

Focus is seeking an HPDC Die Repair Technician in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, to repair, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve high-pressure die casting dies and related tooling. You will work with production, engineering, tool room, and maintenance to maximize die life and minimize downtime, while ensuring safety and quality.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED plus technical training in Tool & Die or machining; experience with dies, tooling, welding, and precision measurement is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• Experience repairing HPDC dies and tooling.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and CAD prints.
• Proficiency with hand tools and precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HPDC dies and tooling.
• Disassemble, inspect, troubleshoot, and reassemble die cast tooling components.
• Diagnose tooling failures and implement corrective actions to restore production readiness.
• Repair worn or damaged die components using welding, machining, polishing, and fitting techniques.
• Interpret engineering drawings and tooling specifications; conduct dimensional inspections.
• Assist in die tryouts and production startups following repairs or modifications.
