Job summary

DCCA is seeking a Systems Engineer 3 - HPC in Maryland with TS/SCI w/ Poly clearance to lead architecture development for high-performance computing systems. You will support design, test, and integration of HPC solutions across compute, memory, interconnect, and storage, delivering end-to-end systems engineering throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Ability to use JIRA, Confluence and CAMEO tools to manage requirements, tests and documentation.
• Certifications: CompTIA Security+ and CompTIA Network+ are required.

Responsibilities

• Support HPC team efforts to develop and maintain architectural direction and methods of HPC systems, including compute, memory, interconnect, network, and storage architectures to meet mission requirements.
• Support the development, test, and integration of commercial and custom HPC computing solutions to support the overall HPC mission.
• Provide rigorous end-to-end systems engineering services through the entire HPC development and acquisition life-cycle.
• Develop test and configuration management strategies tailored for each system.
• Contribute to and/or deliver systems engineering documentation at program and system levels (e.g., FRD/SRD, Security CONOPs).
• Propose and evolve HPC Architecture Concepts and features, ensuring consistency with strategic plans and vendor roadmaps.
• Analyze and document alternatives among competing architectures and justify architectural elements based on mission applications.
• Deliver documentation architecture including descriptions of unique architectural features and diagrams illustrating structure and functions.
• Specify, recommend, and analyze HPC system aspects: processor/accelerator tech, interconnect, memory bandwidth, storage hierarchy, HPC-facing network structure, manufacturability, reliability, availability, serviceability, sustainability.
• Establish and focus mission application performance of each architecture concept, supported by abstract modeling where appropriate.
