Job summary

Intel in Hillsboro, OR seeks an experienced storage engineer to plan, implement, and manage enterprise NAS and backup infrastructure, including NetApp FAS/AFF platforms, NFS/SMB/iSCSI, and automation scripts.

This on-site role requires a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field, 1+ year in large NAS environments, and strong problem-solving skills to ensure data integrity, performance, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field required.
• Experience with NetApp NAS environments and storage protocols (NFS/SMB/CIFS/iSCSI/FCP).
• Ability to develop automation scripts in Python/Bash/PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and optimize NAS, S3, and backup solutions (NetApp, Veeam, SnapVault).
• Design scalable storage and backup infrastructure modifications and document changes.
• Develop policies for provisioning, uptime, data protection, and compliance.
• Monitor usage, plan growth, and manage data migrations and configurations.
• Oversee daily storage operations and hardware maintenance.
