Job summary

NextSilicon is seeking a highly skilled HPC Customer Solutions Engineer to bridge cutting-edge HPC technology and its end users. You will help customers achieve peak performance in diverse scientific applications, collaborating with product and engineering teams to shape platform usability and features.

Location options include hybrid Austin, TX or Minneapolis, MN, with remote considered for exceptional candidates.

Qualifications

• Master's or higher degree in computer science, engineering, physics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in C, C++, and/or Fortran; familiarity with MPI/OpenMP.
• Experience with Linux/Unix and command-line tools; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support to customers for scientific HPC applications.
• Troubleshoot and reproduce client-facing bugs; ensure timely resolution.
• Drive new software features via direct customer engagement and advocacy.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of software features; guide customers accordingly.
• Act as liaison between customers and internal teams to translate requirements into features.
• Contribute to user documentation and support knowledge base.
• Profile bottlenecks in HPC apps across architectures.
