Erias Ventures, LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and implement secure access controls for HPC resources, using Linux, Bash and Python, in a fast-growing environment near Annapolis Junction, MD.

You will work on IAM with Keycloak, RBAC/ABAC, and secret management with Vault, plus CI/CD with GitLab, containers (Docker/Podman), and automation with Ansible. A Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph is required.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor’s degree with required years of SWE experience.
• Experience in programs/contracts of similar scope and complexity.

Responsibilities

• Implement access controls and permission management for HPC resources.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards.
• Develop IAM solutions and security tooling (Keycloak, Vault).

Description

We are seeking a Software Engineer that shall be responsible for implementing access controls and permission mechanisms for securing access to critical HPC system resources through robust permission management, ensuring compliance with the Agency’s security policies and industry standards.

Clearance

A current Top-Secret/SCIwith polygraph security clearance (within 7 years) is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.

Experience

Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity or bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus seven (7) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity or nine (9) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Required skills

• Experience using the Linux CLI
• proficiency in scripting (Bash) to automate tasks and processes
• Experience developing software solutions using the Python programming language
• Experience implementing RBAC/ABAC for HPC systems
• Experience with advanced Linux security administration including PAM, SELinux, file permissions, ACLs, and audit logging.
• Experience developing IAM solutions using Keycloak
• Experience implementing identity federation and SSO (SAML, OIDC, OAuth2)
• Experience developing and maintaining secret management integrations using HashiCorp Vault
• Experience developing Ansible playbooks to orchestrate the automation of provisioning HPC hardware and software components
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, PodMan, containerd
• Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools including GitLab CI
• Experience with Git Source Control System

Desired skills

• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
• Familiar with Agile, Scrum, or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies
