Job summary

UCAR - The University Corporation for Atmospheric Research is seeking a Student Assistant for the CIRRUS platform team in Boulder. You will verify workflows, improve documentation, and onboard new scientific workloads on a Kubernetes-based cloud-native platform used across our Boulder and Cheyenne facilities.

You will work with systems engineers and researchers to grow in cloud-native operations and HPC infrastructure, starting with documentation usability and ending with hands-on experience in

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled for credit in an accredited program.
• Basic familiarity with Linux and containers.
• Ability to work with a team and convey technical concepts to engineers.
• Good oral and written communication skills with clear technical writing.

Responsibilities

• Test and verify platform workflows and documentation before release.
• Develop and maintain reusable workflows to validate workloads.
• Author and improve CIRRUS documentation for a technical audience.
• Gain knowledge of the CIRRUS platform and HPC workloads.
