Job summary

NorthMark Strategies LLC is seeking an HPC Network Engineer to lead design, deployment, and scaling of large multi-vendor data centers and high-performance compute networks. You will drive performance, security, and observability, working with vendors to shape roadmaps to meet evolving scale demands.

The role requires deep tech leadership in multi-vendor environments, with Linux scripting skills and expertise in RoCE, InfiniBand, and VXLAN.

Qualifications

Deep knowledge of data center networking for HPC scale.
Experience with multi-vendor environments and next-gen networking.
Strong scripting and automation capabilities in Linux environments.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and scale large multi-vendor HPC data center networks.
Create performance and observability framework for HPC networks at scale.
Identify emerging tech and influence vendor roadmaps to meet scale and performance needs.
Optimize network infrastructure for high throughput and low latency, addressing scaling challenges.
Demonstrate experience with Ethernet and InfiniBand for HPC architectures.
Define strategies to optimize network equipment performance for HPC storage systems.
Support hybrid/multi-cloud deployments across on-prem, private, and public clouds.
Apply routing and switching knowledge (BGP, OSPF, EVPN, VXLAN) to real-world networks.
Automate tasks using Python, Bash, or PowerShell in Linux environments.
