Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) seeks an infrastructure operations professional to provide overnight coverage during Abu Dhabi hours. You will monitor large GPU clusters, triage incidents, and support researchers and production operations while executing runbooks and maintenance activities.

You will also validate deployments, track metrics, and develop automation tools, contributing to documentation and reporting.

Competenze

• 2+ years in Linux systems administration, SRE, DevOps, cloud operations, HPC, or infrastructure operations.
• Strong Linux troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with scripting using Python or Bash.
• Familiarity with Slurm and GPU infrastructure.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience with monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog).
• Containers and Kubernetes experience.
• AI/ML infrastructure exposure.
• Research computing environments.

The Institute for Foundation Models (IFM) operates some of theworld's largest AI supercomputing environments.

Position Summary

This role provides operational coverage during Abu Dhabi overnighthours and serves as a primary point of contact for infrastructuremonitoring, incident triage, researcher support, and productionoperations.

Responsibilities

Education

$150,000 - $300,000 a year

Compensation

$150,000 – $300,000/year + discretionary performance bonus +benefits

The posted salary range represents the company’s good faithestimate of the base compensation for this position upon hire. Theactual base compensation offered may vary within this rangedepending on individual qualifications, including but not limitedto relevant skills, experience, education, certifications, andspecific business needs. In addition to base salary, totalcompensation includes an annual discretionary performance bonus andcomprehensive benefits.
