CultureMill Recruiting represents a cutting-edge hard-tech company in Los Angeles building AI-driven factories for rockets and frontier hardware. We seek an HPC & Edge Infrastructure Architect to design a compute backbone for flagship sites and scale to a global platform.
You will architect real-time, edge-enabled GPU clusters, secure on-prem and cloud infrastructure, and ensure compliance with ITAR and NIST 800-171 while leading a small, capable team.
The most advanced hardware in the world is being held back by how it gets made. Our client is fixing that. From their facility at the heart of LA's hard-tech corridor, they're building AI-driven factories that produce precision components for rockets, defense systems, and the next generation of frontier hardware. Their platform combines proprietary production hardware with real-time sensing, machine learning, and on-site GPU compute, so the factory sees, learns, and corrects as every part is built. Backed by top-tier investors including NVIDIA, the company is past proof-of-concept: demand outpaces capacity, and the team is scaling fast.
As an HPC & Edge Infrastructure Architect you'll architect and build the compute and connectivity backbone for a new class of AI-driven factories. Every production node runs dense GPU clusters and generates massive, high-frequency data streams that have to be processed in real time at the edge. You'll design systems that span heterogeneous CPU/GPU compute, high-bandwidth interconnects, and distributed data platforms, supporting both real-time control loops and petabyte-scale data processing. You'll start with a single flagship site and scale it into a globally distributed platform. No manufacturing background required.
