Unlock your future with Maxar! We need a High-Performance Computing (HPC) DevSecOps Engineer with Linux and OpenShift or Kubernetes expertise to lead the migration and management of our services. We are modernizing our systems and relocating to new hardware, and we seek additional support. Note: US citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance are mandatory for this position and required for consideration. Must be open to acquiring CI Poly.

Location: Herndon, VA or Westminster, CO

Principal Responsibilities:
  1. Create and maintain automated, repeatable environment creation and configuration scripts using Ansible, Chef, or similar tools.
  2. Leverage OpenStack and Kubernetes to configure, monitor, and maintain the private cloud environment.
  3. Develop and sustain automated DevSecOps pipelines with tools like Jenkins, SonarQube, Cucumber, JMeter, and Cypress.io.
  4. Monitor, predict, update, and resolve issues across all levels, from operating systems to applications.
  5. Support compliance for ATO accreditation through tuning, patching, or documentation.
  6. Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary Agile teams and articulate technical concepts clearly.
Position Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in DevSecOps and Linux.
  • 4 years of experience with HPC.
  • 4 years of experience with OpenShift and/or Kubernetes.
  • Experience with open-source and custom application deployment and maintenance.
  • Ability to work effectively with distributed teams.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Willingness to work in a SCIF environment as needed.
  • Degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance and US citizenship.
Additional Skills Desired:

Familiarity with hardware/software sustainment in IC and DoD networks, distributed processing, web services, open-source resources in government environments, backend GIS technologies, ICD 503, big data technologies, hybrid cloud/on-prem architecture, and security certifications like Security+ are desirable. Knowledge of military/intelligence systems is a plus.

We disclose salary ranges for transparency: Colorado: $119,000 - $199,000; Washington, DC: $131,000 - $219,000. Benefits include paid time off, insurance, 401(k), and potential incentives based on contributions and performance.
