Job summary

COLSA Corporation seeks a Network Engineer in Huntsville, AL to support MSIC with high-performance data center networking. You will design, deploy, and optimize low-latency fabrics across multi-vendor gear, including Cisco ACI, InfiniBand/RoCEv2, and NVMe storage integrations.

The role emphasizes QoS tuning, automation with Python/Ansible, and compliance with DoD baselines. A DoD clearance or eligibility is required, with US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a related technical field or equivalent experience.
• 1–12 years of related experience; level varies by experience.
• Experience with enterprise/data center networking environments.
• Proficiency with high-density switching platforms such as Cisco Nexus, Arista, or NVIDIA.
• Active/Current CompTIA Security+ CE, ISC2 SSCP, or equivalent baseline certification.
• Ability to obtain SAP eligibility and maintain program access as required.
• U.S. Citizenship required; DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and CI polygraph may be required.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Cisco ACI environments across Multi-Pod and Multi-Site configurations.
• Engineer InfiniBand and RoCEv2 fabrics for ultra-low-latency workloads.
• Configure, audit, and troubleshoot BGP, OSPF, EVPN across multi-vendor gear.
• Tune QoS, PFC, and ECN to ensure lossless traffic flow.
• Integrate fabrics with VMware NSX, KVM, and Nutanix; NVMe-oF storage networks.
• Leverage Python and Ansible to automate configuration and state management.
• Ensure DoD security baselines and DISA STIG compliance.
