Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced HPC systems administrator to manage and optimize scheduling environments for CAE workloads in a Linux-centric HPC cluster. You will design queues, policies, and strategies to maximize throughput and efficiency while supporting CAE applications in production.

The role requires hands-on experience with LSF, PBS, Slurm, and strong scripting skills. You will collaborate with engineering teams to ensure reliable deployments, system health, and scalable automation

Qualifications

3+ years Linux sysadmin experience (preferably RHEL).
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or commensurate work experience.
Hands-on experience managing HPC clusters and job schedulers (LSF, Slurm, PBS).
Proven CAE application support and integration experience.
Strong scripting skills (Bash, Shell, Perl, or equivalent).
Experience with OS deployment, patching, and system automation.
Solid understanding of enterprise server hardware, storage, and networking fundamentals.
Experience with CAE tools such as Ansys, LS‑DYNA, Nastran, or similar.

Responsibilities

Administer, configure, and optimize HPC job scheduling environments (LSF, PBS, Slurm).
Design and tune job queues, resource policies, and scheduling strategies for CAE workloads.
Monitor performance, analyze trends, and implement efficiency improvements.
Install, upgrade, test, and support CAE applications in production environments.
Provide integration support between CAE apps and HPC scheduling systems.
Troubleshoot issues and minimize disruption to engineering activities.
Maintain RHEL environments across HPC clusters and perform OS provisioning.
