District Photo Inc. in Phoenix is seeking a skilled Bindery and Digital Press Machine Operator to operate HP Indigo and related equipment. The role requires reading job specifications, setting up machines, troubleshooting, and performing routine maintenance to ensure a high-quality output.

The candidate will monitor production, uphold safety standards, and train junior operators. This position offers consistent daytime hours with overtime during peak seasons and a benefits package including

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience operating specialized print press machinery.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Must be fluent in English, with strong reading and writing skills to interpret technical documents, job specifications, complete reports, and communicate effectively with team members.
• Familiarity with safety standards, 6S and quality control procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have a flexible schedule during high production peak seasons.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a range of equipment including HP Indigo, Canon, Muller Martini.
• Review product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance to uphold quality standards.
• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale, rule, or templates.
• Monitor machine operation and escalate issues when required.
• Perform routine and preventative machine maintenance and document accordingly.
• Train new operators with necessary skills and knowledge.
• Assist other operators to set up machines to meet deadlines.
• Follow safety protocols and keep a clean, organized work area.
• Maintain high accuracy and efficiency across tasks.
• Familiarity with Digital Print Press and Bindery equipment such as HP Indigo, Canon, Muller Martini.
