Job description

HP Indigo Press Operator - First and Second Shift Options

Operations - Salt Lake City

The Indigo Press Operator operates and maintains digital presses that produce printed labels. The operator is responsible for operating multiple digital press equipment, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. The ideal candidate should have deep familiarity with finishing press operations, substrates, inks, and finishing processes. Ability to operate large format printers and finishing equipment is a plus. This role reports to the Production Manager or Supervisor.

Responsibilities
  • Operate HP Indigo press
  • Read and understand orders to ensure correct materials are produced to company standards
  • Pull appropriate stock, make ready of machine, ensure color match consistency, and manage production runs
  • Monitor print quality and make adjustments as necessary
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Track and record consumables and throughput
  • Maintain color profiles for consistency and calibration
  • Keep work area and equipment clean and follow safety regulations
  • Detect and report defective materials or issues
  • Communicate job status to management
  • Operate safely and efficiently
  • Update MIS systems with job and production info
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED
  • At least two years’ experience in digital printing
  • Experience with HP Indigo equipment and certification is a plus
  • Forklift certification is a plus
  • Technically and mechanically oriented with strong computer skills
  • Demonstrate honesty, integrity, responsibility, and effective communication
  • Innovative, collaborative, and aligned with company values
