Currently seeking a Special Education Preschool Teacher for our Howard Haber ELC in Parkchester, Bronx.

Role Description:

  • Full Time, Monday to Friday, Parking on premises
  • 10-month program with a 30-day summer session
  • Assessing students' needs and abilities and preparing lesson plans for a self-contained classroom
  • Create developmentally sound and appropriate IEP goals and objectives focusing on areas of strengths, areas for improvement, and preferences for reinforcers and motivational strategies
  • Prepare daily schedules/lesson plans for each student with activities aligned to NYS Prekindergarten Foundation for the Common Core Standards or NYS Common Core Standards, informed by authentic assessment data, which advance school readiness goals and reflect the objectives contained in IEPs; prepare Progress Reports and update IEPs as needed; participate in review meetings

Pay: $71,770.00 - $72,841.00 per year

Qualifications:
