Mid Level Java Developer Responsibilities
- Create documentation around code that has been implemented
- Design enterprise Java applications
- Write Java code
- Perform Java code reviews
- Gather the requirements needed for a piece of software
- Coordinate with colleagues and their teams to build large applications
- Mentor and assist junior developers in applying proper OOP practices
- Ensure high availability and performance for business-critical tasks
Additionally, Mid Level Java Developers oversee the implementation of Java-based enterprise applications and participate in the full lifecycle of application development.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Java and related JVM technologies
- Experience with enterprise application design and architecture
- Familiarity with other JVM languages such as Kotlin
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to code cleanly, write efficient and maintainable code
- Experience with performance tuning and JVM parameter adjustments

- United States: Average $104,843 (range $56,000–$116,500)
- United Kingdom: Average £49,348
- Australia: Average $85,174 AUD
