Job summary

Pilot Foundation Services, based in Houston, seeks an experienced Transmission Superintendent to oversee multiple foundation projects, lead foremen, and coordinate field resources with technical direction for safe, productive, high-quality work in the Greater Houston area.

You will manage drilling shafts, embeds, casing, and concrete placement while ensuring QA/QC compliance and strong safety performance across sites. Strong leadership and field-management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years field experience in transmission or related construction.
• Leadership role as Superintendent or equivalent (Foreman/General Foreman).
• Experience overseeing crews and multiple projects, coordinating manpower, equipment, and safety.
• Knowledge of transmission foundations, drilled shafts, direct embeds, slurry processing, and concrete placement.
• Ability to read civil/structural drawings, structure lists, pier schedules and work instructions.
• Strong leadership, planning, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record; ability to report to active sites in Greater Houston.
• Ability to pass background, MVR, and drug screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Houston-area transmission foundation and drilled-shaft projects and the foremen.
• Plan project execution with Operations, PM, and field leadership including schedules, manpower, equipment, materials, logistics, risks, and customer requirements.
• Provide technical oversight for drilled shafts, direct embeds, casing installation, and concrete placement.
• Review work plans, coordinate crews and resources, monitor progress, and resolve field constraints while maintaining safety and quality.
• Ensure work and QA/QC documentation comply with drawings, specs, contracts, and customer standards.
• Lead safety performance and coach foremen on crew safety, quality, productivity, conduct, and jobsite execution.
